Line 9 of the Hangzhou Metro (simplified Chinese: 杭州地铁九号线; traditional Chinese: 杭州地鐵九號線; pinyin: Hángzhōu Dìtiě Jiǔhào Xiàn) is a subway line. The line will be 29.45 km (18.30 mi) long and will run in a north-south direction between Guanyintang and Long'an in the north.[1] The line is colored brown on system maps.

History


Central section

The Central section of the line, between Coach Center and Linping stations, is currently operational and run as a branch line of Line 1 since 24 November 2012. The section is operated as Line 9 since 10 July 2021.[2]

North section

The North section from Linping to Long'an is planned to open in September or October 2021.

South section

The South section from Guanyintang to Coach Center is planned to open in December 2021 or January 2022.
